11 Jun Freedom – A Group Show in Collaboration with Urban Nation
StolenSpace are proud to present ‘Freedom’ a group show in association with Urban Nation, Berlin opening on 20th June.
Featuring new original artworks by Shepard Fairey, D*Face, Maya Hayuk, Cyrcle., Word To Mother, Miss Van, The London Police, Herakut, Snik & Evoca1. Expressing the notion of ‘Freedom’ and inspired by Berlin’s political past & present, this is the 8th instalment of Project M.
All 10 artists exhibiting in ‘Freedom’ will be travelling to Berlin to create unique public art pieces. All artists will create new works on 1 x10 foot panels, which will then be placed in windows on the ground floor of Urban Nation building. These pieces will be visible to the general public until the official opening (scheduled for 2016) and some of which will become part of the future institution’s permanent collection.
Maya Hayuk will paint a large-scale mural on the façade of Urban Nation building and Shepard Fairey, D*Face, Cyrcle & Word to Mother will be creating large scale public wall murals at a nearby location.
