Word To Mother’s new collection of works draws inspiration from a childhood visit to the Golden State in 1996.
“When I first visited California it was a time in my life when things were much more simple, for me personally and for society as a whole. Technology was progressing rapidly but was yet to overcomplicate day to day life. People’s actions were still integral to how they were perceived by others. Nowadays people are able to create a persona online of how they would like to be seen by the rest of the world, none of which is necessarily true. These works are my reaction to the dramatically changing social environment in which I find myself.”
